Review Before going into this film, I had only watched the teaser trailer and that was it. I was oblivious to the fact that this was going to be a musical adaptation of the classic film 'Mean Girls' (2004). I came to the realisation only 2 minutes into the film which already opened with its first musical score. I assumed it was going to be a direct sequel but instead I was shown a recreation of the original film with music. The film, on its own, can be deemed as comedic; even for those who have not seen Mean Girls before. Review I'm surprised this film got a low rating from critics as the reviews and rating from the audience has been really good. I wouldn't consider the film to be of the horror genre but unlike Twilight, I prefer vampire films such as this. An origin story well told.
