After binge-watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-20), Star Wars Rebels (2014-18) and catching up with every Marvel Disney+ series and films, these are some of my thoughts on the characters, the narratives and anything related to the series / films. Though I am a fan of the Marvel and Star Wars universe and I do appreciate the studios going above and beyond producing a lot of content for the fans, there will be a few criticisms. Mainly speaking about the MCU, it does not mean that the studio have failed but rather, they can improve in the way they tell stories from analysing the reception of already released content. The most widely anticipated film of the century and maybe of all time, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019) takes home a number of records including ‘Highest grossing film of all time’, ‘Best visual effects’ and ‘Best action movie’ at the Critics Choice Award; not to mention the various award nominations from the Academy Awards, BAFA, the Grammys and MTV. On a budget of $356 million, making it one of the most expensive films to produce, ‘Endgame’ generates $2.798 billion at the Box Office, beating ‘Avatar’ (2009) and ‘Titanic’ (1997) which were previously held at the top 2 spots for largest Box Office hits for many years.
