Warner Bros. Pictures Age Certificate: 12 IMDb: 7.5/10 Rotten Tomatoes: 71/100 Plot The Dark Knight of Gotham City begins his war on crime with his first major enemy being Jack Napier, a criminal who becomes the clownishly homicidal Joker. Review One of the best superhero films of the decade; when it was first announced that Michael Keaton will play the dark crusader, the audience were not convinced that a comedian could portray a dark vigilante such as Batman. Yet, Keaton steps in the role of Batman, regardless of the audience's initial response to him, and delivers one of the best Batman performances in film history. But what gave the film its positive reviews was Jack Nicholson who took on the role of the iconic villain, the Joker. Nicholson is considered one the best actors of our generation, coming from the film 'The Shining (1980)', it was already evident that Nicholson was fit to play another villain such as the Joker. This film was the reason why I lo...

The most widely anticipated film of the century and maybe of all time, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019) takes home a number of records including ‘Highest grossing film of all time’, ‘Best visual effects’ and ‘Best action movie’ at the Critics Choice Award; not to mention the various award nominations from the Academy Awards, BAFA, the Grammys and MTV. On a budget of $356 million, making it one of the most expensive films to produce, ‘Endgame’ generates $2.798 billion at the Box Office, beating ‘Avatar’ (2009) and ‘Titanic’ (1997) which were previously held at the top 2 spots for largest Box Office hits for many years. The film had high expectations but were also pressured by the millions of fans’ expectations to live up to. With so much to handle, the Russo Brothers (directors) managed to make the film live up to the hype that it had since the start of the Avengers Initiative. With carefully planned narrative and universally outstanding performances by our favouri...

'AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR' (2018) REVIEW

Since this film is not just a film but a cinematic event experience, here's what I thought about it. This was pretty much Thanos' story; not in his perspective but every scene always linked back to his character. He was the main character; being mentioned at least once in every scene. He's not the stereotypical antagonist who wants to take over the universe but bring balance. I thought survival was the end goal for him and so if half of the universe is gone, there will be balance and survival will no longer be an issue as he has somewhat mentioned in the film. UPDATE: Recently Kevin Feige reported that half of the plant resources and animals have also been affected by Thanos' snap. Thinking about it, wouldn't it be pointless if half of the universe's resources are gone? Poverty will still exist. Also, with the large number of characters in this film, it was obvious that not all of the protagonists will get the same amount of screen time as each other. As ...
