"Fat Lip" is an up-tempo song including pop and skate punk, rap rock and hip hop. It is the fourth song in their 2001 album "All Killer No Filler" They said: "The verses are really about what we do: growing up in the suburbs, going to parties and hanging out with our friends, and causing trouble. A lot of people say they relate to it."
"In Too Deep" is a pop punk song and was released in 2001 along with "Fat Lip" as the second single from the album "All Killer No Filler". It topped the UK Singles charts at number 13 and the U.S. Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks at number 10.
"Still Waiting" is a pop punk and punk rock song from the album "Does This Look Infected?" as the lead single, released in 2002.
Simple Plan (1999- )
"I'm Just a Kid" is a pop punk song and the debut single in their debut album "No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls", released in 2002. It was featured in the films "Grind", "The New Guy" and "Cheaper by the Dozen".
"Perfect" is an emo punk and pop punk song and the fourth and final single taken from their debut album, released in 2003. "Perfect" begins with a low-melody guitar-sound and ends with a faded-out guitar-sound. In the bridge of the song, the song becomes more punk rock sounding. The song is about a child telling their parents that they are not perfect, and they can't be perfect. Regarding the lyric "Hey dad, look at me" and "I'm sorry I can't be perfect". Drummer Chuck Comeau stated that this song "is his idea", to tell his parents because they weren't supportive of his career choice so in the song, Comeau tells that he made it and he's not perfect and he can't be perfect. Bassist and backing vocalist David Desrosiers also stated that this song was "about him" before starts an acoustic version of the song.
"Grow Up" is the 14th track in the same album as "I'm Just a Kid".
