Plot
When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney, presumed dead after a fierce storm. With only a meager number of supplies, the stranded visitor must utilise his wits and spirit to find a way to survive on the hostile planet. Meanwhile, back on Earth, members of NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring him home, while his crew mates hatch their own plan for a daring rescue mission.

Full of wit and comedy behind the reality that is a rescue mission to get back an astronaut from Mars. Matt Damon portrays botanist and astronaut, Mark Watney but it wasn't just his astounding performance that shined through-out but Damon's natural charm and humour that made his character memorable.

In addition, as an audience member, you can appreciate the work that went into the film-making; from the research into the accuracy of astronomy (some of what is accurate) as well as the work put into visual effects that makes Mars and space look like the real thing. Putting the audience on the edge of their seats, this Sci-Fi and action-packed drama is a film for science lovers.
